If you were hoping for a copious hit of the deliciously saturnine sweetness that is Editors in their digital environment this month, you're going to be left hurting. With only 10 photographs to savour, there's not a lot to delight your sight-thingies. The most important thing that happened this month alongside the usual band-practice snaps from Mr Smith was a minuscule video release entitled "Sounds". There were two images of Tom recording vocals, which raises the question of what exactly the band are up to down there in Oxford. A lot of the shots from in side the rehearsal room have been labelled "Band Practice" but, based on the Crear experience that underpinned In Dream, it makes you wonder if there's more taking place. From what we've seen in the photos this appears to be more than a simple rehearsal. The abundance of equipment visible could mean that they're demoing or even recording proper? Which raises the question...recording what, exactly? In addition to any potential newer material like The Pulse there's still a missing moment from the In Dream Lost Tracks to consider called The Wind on the Water. Lost forever or just misplaced?
While we're on the subject, and in case it slipped your mind, Dream Dark as Your Heaven has still not been made available beyond the 2 people who currently have it. Any thoughts of time healing all wounds and distance making this fact easier to take, are wholeheartedly and factually incorrect. Don't debate me on this. You will lose and end up drowning under waves of my unending, irrational bitterness.
