Editors Instagram - October 2016

This month was all about the tease and a return to social media. Not only did we get a 3 song extended video preview of the still-to-be-released Schwuz gig, but Instagram implemented their own version of Snapchat's "story" feature. If you're among the unfamiliar with these things it essentially allows you to post a brief video on your Instagram profile, which will be around for 24 hours before being automatically deleted. The band released one such clip filmed at what appears to be the back door of the studios in Oxford where they're writing/rehearsing/demoing/recording (?), and if you turn the volume right up you can hear some electronics playing in the background. The clip is included in this collection so you can check it out for yourself.   

The other major event in October was the reappearance of Mr Smith on social media. Having abandoned Twitter in March of this year, it seems that the allure of having endless strangers in your comments section hassling you to play in their neighbourhood was too powerful to resist. This time it's Instagram that's acting as a host to Tom, and his profile description reads:-

standard definition, nauseous, selfies, sunsets, coffee, tattoos & pussy

Trading Standards should probably be contacted at some point because this is a less than accurate summary of what's available there. He's actually been posting snaps of the band  in rehearsal as well as some landscape shots of what I assume is the surrounding area of their Oxfordshire base camp.

Also available in the October Instagram collection are two short videos of Ed, one of him doing star jumps and the other of him running in slow motion on the spot, Chariots of Fire style. No joke! Enjoy the photos ;)
