How about another chance to feel older than you thought you were? Nic Willes marked the first anniversary of his first show on Tom's solo tour this month. Yep. That happened a year ago.
Luca from Edicola Disco posted an interview with Tom and Elliott, and as a hardcore enthusiast of this band I found some very interesting morsels to devour here. The song Much Love on the new record was apparently written in 2012...around the time the band almost split up which is crazy. Having tried and failed to land on a finished version with each record in the 14 year that have elapsed, it finally clicked on Surface Echo and Sound. I wonder how much more Editors music is currently in a similar limob-like state just waiting to be officially realised ?
To see out the month, the band released a video of Tom and Elliott playing an acoustic rendition of Seriously. On the same day, Discoteca Laziale shared a video of an acoustic instore session that the guys had already done on a recent promotional trip to Italy.
There were also stops in Mexico recently and we got two videos from MatchFM, one was an extended interview and the other was an acoustic session featuring Tom and Justin.
On the 21st September RAI in Italy shared a radio session and then a day later Tom, Justin and Elliott were guests on the television show Propaganda.
By the time the next instalment of Editors' Instagram arrives, Surface Echo and Sound will be official and available to listen to in its entirety. They will also have played their first ever show in South America. There's certainly lots to look forward to, it's a great time to be an Editors fan ;)
