This is an audience recording of Editors playing live at Troxy in London, on the 1st February 2023. It was made by an extremely long-term fan of the band called Sanne who passed it along for inclusion in Archive, many thanks to you for your kindness.
There's clearly a defined setlist being used throughout the UK tour and there doesn't appear to have been any deviations from it. It's easy to forget that there was a time before the internet really took off that bands could go out on tour, and you wouldn't know what they were going to play until they actually hit your town. Unfortunately, we're so interconnected by technology that you can guarantee there'll always be some malcontent with a blog somewhere, acting as a one-person spoiler alert for current touring activities. Gleefully giving away setlists, and maybe even posting audio and video so you can check it out before you go see them play yourself. In a musical landscape of atrocious personalities and scoundrels, those people are some of the worst. You know that stuff you sweep out from underneath your fridge when you're really, seriously cleaning your kitchen? That's their equivalent.

Still, their hearts are usually in the right place. Plus, you could argue that they do make it easier for people to learn the words to the new stuff, so they can bellow along with the band at the shows and not feel awkward and left out? Maybe (flashes a pair of pleading eyes and a half smile)? No? Ah well.
