A short post to reflect the smaller collection of items on offer this month, I'm afraid. Understandably, the band have been up to very little indeed (at least publicly), and so the digital trails that chronicle their online movement have been thin, at best. There's 30 markers of passing time contained in the zip file below, and no real news to share with you, unfortunately.
One of the many fallouts from the all-consuming plague occupying our every hour right now is that the music business is taking a large hit, especially those folks who haunt the unseen areas of the industry. The guys and gals behind the guys and gals. It even extends to venues where music grows and is nurtured, the feeder system that goes on to produce all those artists that you end up falling in love with down the line. This is reflected in the content of some of the photos available here. Worrying times.

The other piece of news coming out of July 2020 is that for some reason the YouTube algorithm working on behalf of PIAS have taken a dislike to some of the videos I've posted. It came totally out of left field, and on clips that had been around for a while. The consequence was that they have wound up being blocked in a single territory. Not worldwide, but in one country only.
It pains me, because I adore Denmark. Before we were all encouraged to mask up and stay put, Copenhagen was a favourite destination of mine. So it makes it all the more weird that they've been singled out in this way. For that, my apologies go out to all you Danish cats that are being excluded. As we all know, the YouTube algorithm tends to make very little sense as it is and this was not my doing. Also, I should add that the people that I've interacted with at PIAS have never been anything but very kind, accommodating and helpful without exception. Even when faced with answering all manner of weird bootlegger inquiries, they do it with grace and so I'm pretty sure this isn't a personal thing from them.
