The Lemming Archive: KEXP Session 7th May 2018 (audio)

Recorded and broadcast on the Troy Nelson show on KEXP, here's the band officially announcing their return to the States. I bet there were one or two of you American fans wondering if they'd ever make it back, but here we are. I'm thrilled for you all to finally be able to get a chance to see them play again after such a long wait, be sure to show them some love when you do ;)

It's all VI OLENCE for this one, with the 4 songs played all being from that album. They could have mixed it up and played "the hits" but instead they decided to makes sure the focus remains unwaveringly on the present, very much in keeping with Mr Smith's recent assertions that what's happening right now with Editors is most important. The choice of songs is interesting because it definitely leans towards the more mainstream pop side of E6, given that they're all very immediate. I'd like to think that this was a calculated move on the band's part but, as with most things, I suspect that most of Editors' successes take them completely by surprise owing to them living and creating within their own little world. Long may it continue. Enjoy the music ;)
