More flashbacks from American airwaves up next, as Editors visit with Kevin Cole for a session on KEXP. There's 3 acoustic tracks and some chatter, covering topics as diverse as the perils of getting a cold on tour, working with Jacknife Lee, bad decisions in the licensing of All Sparks and the supposed controversy of releasing PYHTTA as a single. It's another interview where Joy Division get a mention but not in the way they normally do. There's a comparison but only in the way that both bands have great b-side tracks that folks who don't buy singles may have missed, which is a fair point.
Russell is on piano for this one, Ed is the man with the shaker and the backing vocals for Smokers and our two guitar heroes maintain their usual roles throughout. I'm aware I'm repeating myself, but Bones is just one of those Editors songs that works in any context, as far as I'm concerned, and this version proves that.
