The band held a competition as an antecedent to the release of VI OLENCE, whereby fans would record a 30 second video clip of themselves explaining what Editors meant to them. All the clips would then be gathered and scrutinised before a set of winners were selected for a very special prize. They would travel to the very swanky Ridge Farm is Surrey in February of 2018 and become the E6 virgins, hearing the record as a group for the very first time. While there, their reactions would be filmed and used later on as part of the promotional work for the album and here we are. There was also an acoustic set, a chance to hang with the band, and some Editors themed goodies to take away. It was the ultimate goth spa retreat.
It's fun to actually go and look at that page where all the entries were held, there's lots to get through but there's some really nice testaments from other fans about why they love Editors.

Even if, as someone who didn't win, you cursed the very ground these people walked on with bitter cries of "It should have been me, dammit!!!", you absolutely cannot deny the fact that it's a wonderful thing to see so many happy souls all brought together by their shared love of this band. It makes me smile when i see it at somewhere huge and cavernous like Werchter with 80,00 people present, and I smile equally as broadly when I see 12 folks in a small room just digging the music and the effect it has on them.
