It's hard to say where and when this was recorded, because he says during the interview that the band are working on a new record (VI OLENCE). He also discusses handing over their music to Blanck Mass to develop the tunes for E6. Considering that record was mastered in October of 2017, it's tough to pinpoint the specific time it exists in.
The gist of the clip is Tom being interviewed by 3FM, and offering 5 different songs that he deems to be "essential choices" plus the reasons behind why he digs them. Of note is selection number 5 which is of course by the man who would play a major role in the new record. Also nice to see London Grammar on the list, as I've recently become obsessed to the point of insanity with a remix by Arty of their song Hey Now. It makes my journey to work every day a little more bearable, and has provided aural sunshine during what has been a miserable last week or so in terms of the weather. Snow to the point of whiteout is beautiful to look at from indoors, not so much when you have to trudge around in it all. Enjoy the chatter ;)
