This is the interview with Mr Smith that was broadcast on Radio 1 tonight, as part of the grand unveiling of
Hallelujah (So Low). It's an absolute monster of a track, that one. There's a slightly choral sound to the whole thing, makes me think of big churches full of lots of folks in robes singing along. It feels like this album is going to have very little space in between the notes, if that makes sense? There's a lot going on in the background. They also seem to have mastered the loud/quiet dynamic to great effect, that first introduction to Justin's guitar packs so much power.
What's on offer here are the two interview segments with Tom from before and after the track was debuted, with the song itself being removed in the interest of not ripping off the band. Take some time to check in with Mr Smith, you'll be glad you did ;)
