Podcast Theme by Chris 2016

Live Audio Wrestling was a podcast by Brian Mann and Nate Milton, and even if you're not into the subject matter then you're probably very curious about the theme tune. Chris and Brian have worked together in the past with their 2 wrestling preview videos (see here and here for more). Mr Urbanowicz posted a link to the "Keep it 2000" podcast on his Twitter feed with the simple heading:-

This is what I do in my spare time if you were wondering.

Strangely enough, I was wondering. This tells us that you can take the boy out of the music but you just can't take the music out of the boy. Excellent! He's composed a 1 minute signature tune for the podcast, and if I'm not mistaken then this is the first post-Editors work that is purely all his own, outside the production duties for other bands where he's also played a little. If you listen through the samples over the top then you'll hear that it's all electronic underneath, no guitars. It's got a real New Order feel to it and I mean that in a complimentary way. It has those Italian House style pianos that they used to such good effect in the past (Special, World, etc).

Does this mean that he's been unable to shake the appeal of creating music during his retirement? There was a post on his Instagram account recently that suggests he's still writing. Is this a one off deal for a friend, a temporary distraction from his ongoing funemployment? Could this be the first step to the man coming back in some capacity as a musician in the future? I know, I know, there could be absolutely nothing to this whatsoever. But here's hoping ;)
