Has it really been a month since I did the last Instagram collection? Blimey! Here it is then, the latest batch of snaps and weirdness from Editors' official Instagram account and some other little treasures from various sources. May was a huge month for us as Editors fans as it marked the live return of the band. If you thought that was wonderful, then your socks would have been suitably blown off by the additional news that there was a new song to listen to. It was unclear if it even existed beyond being a title on a white-board here, but The Pulse made its live debut at Queimodromo de Coimbra and a live recording surfaced shortly thereafter. At present it's unclear what the future holds for it, in terms of the way it will finally filter down to us as a fully formed studio take. But it's always exciting to see the band progressing and continuing the forward momentum.
This was followed by some support slot dates with Blackwood's finest, the Manics, which acted as a prelude to the summer festival mini-campaign. These next few months are a smaller component of the much larger In Dream campaign, which is possibly reaching its natural conclusion before the next cycle begins. Expect setlists packed with crowd pleasing hits, as well as fringe and eyebrow-removing flamethrowers down the front. I wonder if the stars and schedules will align to facilitate that long delayed live duet with La Goswell on Ocean of Night? I am your hope...down...the wire......
Finally, there were some stills from a video which has yet to be released, but which is undoubtedly imminent. I initially assumed they were from a promo for Forgiveness, which is the latest single to be released from In Dream but then Mr Smith is wearing a crown in one of the shots. Shortly thereafter it was confirmed that All the Kings is the song being filmed around. Another possible single release?
