The XFM Mixtapes (Dialogue only) 8th - 15th July 2013

Get ready, you lovely people, as this is another chance to test the depth of your Editors infatuation. It won't be everybody's cup of tea but I'm posting it anyway. Just in case.

XFM were long-time supporters of Editors, and as such they've appeared as guest hosts every now and then. This time, Mr Lay and Mr Leetch took the time out of their busy schedule of bass-slinging and drum pounding to put together a playlist of songs they like; songs they thought other folks might just be interested in hearing.  This show appeared on two separate days over one week in July 2013, but I've combined them into one for the purposes of this post.

The obvious problem with this thing is that I have no desire to share officially available material by any bands, so I've used my latent surgical skills to gently excise the actual songs leaving only the dulcet tones of King Leetch and Ed making their intros.

It's fun to eavesdrop on their interactions with each other, although the brief chat before Portishead's "Machine Gun" did make me wince a little.  If you're a long-time fan of the band then you'll get it when you hear it. Their humour is as dark as their music.

I may have removed the tunes, but I've listed the full playlist below in the hopes that you might just check something out and find something new among it all that you really, really love.
