"Fall" and "All Sparks" on London Live 1st August 2006

Broadcast in the UK on the 1st of August 2006, this is Editors delivering 2 songs as part of the studio based music program "London Live".  The pop trivia for this one is that they shared the bill with Sugababes, The Rifles and Delays.  This being the year of VI OLENCE, it's mind blowing to think that there may be a whole new set of fans arriving shortly who are blissfully unaware of this stage of the band's existence. If this applies to you...welcome.  Here's a chance to get introduced to the first incarnation of Editors playing two numbers from their debut album The Back Room.

"Fall" is a low key number that maintains a low profile until it reaches the final minutes where it becomes all about guitar noise and pounding drums. In another piece of pop trivia, Mr Smith has said in the past that people often mistakenly thought that the line These dark pubs we drink in, somehow light up when I'm with you was directed at Chris.  The reason being that when they played the song live, this was the exact moment where he wasn't playing anything that Mr Urbanowicz would walk back to his amp and take a swig of beer.  You want weird Editors facts? You got it, folks.

In the interests of honesty and being a polite host I am obliged to inform you that there's a very small glitch in All Sparks, which was there in the source video I got this from. So you have my apologies up front. Other than that, take a look at a little slice of Editors' history from 12 years ago.
