There's some broad topics covered here but the one thing that stands out is Ed addressing the subject of Blanck Mass' absence.
He's OK.
Ben appears to have constructed a career for himself of multiple potential possibilities, one of which is composing soundtracks. It's a great situation for him, but unfortunately means that he is unable to fully commit to being a member of a touring band right now. I feel for him, for not being able to continue enjoying the experience of taking EBM out on the road, absorbing the energy from all those people embracing it live. Yet it's tempered with the happiness that he's being recognised as an artist in his own right away from his role in Editors. You could easily get seasick from veering between being happy and sad about his situation.
It also continues to demonstrate the flexible nature of the personnel boundaries within the band. People can show up when you least expect it, as he did for the EBM promotional cycle, and then equally they can leave and everything will continue. Editors has become an entity that survives regardless of any turmoil or changes in its base components. From where they began, that's quite an achievement. People are fragile things, "Editors" is not. Enjoy the chatter ;)
