November was another quiet month, although there was stirring within that partial silence.
There were some public indications that plans for Editors' return are being formulated, although still in a very tentative manner. On the 12th of November the band confirmed 2 festival shows for next year. They are Maia Compact Records Festival on the 20th of March in Portugal, and then the In It Together Festival at the beginning of June in Wales.
Then on the 26th it was announced that Editors' Hamburg date from last year was rescheduled to the 28th of May 2022.
Along with the ups, of course, there are the inevitable downs and that came on the 16th November with the announcement that the band have been unable to reschedule their appearance at Tollwood Festival. That was a gig that should have gone down in the summer of 2020 before...well, you know what happened next. Sadly, the whole event got nuked again this year for exactly the same reason so there would be no glum pop at Tollwood in 2021.
However, let's not lose sight of the fact that the band have displayed definite signs of life! So put down that defibrillator, there's hope in your hands...and air to breathe. Through a mask, obviously.
Outside of these obvious signs of band life, Elliott continued his DJ activities with some live sets and a mix for Rainy City Radio.
