Home 2 Home Live with Justin 20th May 2020

Thank goodness for technology and its ability to make the world closer than its geographical limits, but it's so much weirder than that. This conversation took place between two people occupying different places in time, with Mexico being about 6 hours behind the UK. That means that Justin is  talking to a figure form the past while Cesar Rosas is communicating directly with someone in the future. Trippy stuff, I'm sure you'll agree.

In the tortous downtime encouraged by that global plague you might have heard about, it's nice to hear that the people whose work we admire are still out there and doing OK.

The chat starts out with some background as to how the two met, and a massive reveal about an early yourcodenameis:milo headline show in London back in the day, where the support act were a band of moody Joy Division impersonators called...Editors. I wonder whatever happened to them?

I won't say anything further about the content of this because it's better to just tune in and experience it firsthand. What this interaction benefits from greatly is the obvious friendship between the two participants, and the way it facilitates a smooth flow of conversation. It feels like Cesar had some loose ideas for questions coming into this, but he still allowed himself to stray off topic when the time was right. Which is the way most authentic verbal exchanges between friends tend to go anyway.

Let me preface my next statement by saying that of course I want to know about new Editors material and what they're up to at the minute etc. Obsession is the business I'm in. With that being affirmed...

I actually liked the way that this video wasn't solely focused on the band, taking in a much broader range of subjects. Nice work, Cesar. This was fun to watch. Enjoy ;)

brought to you with lots and lots of lemming-love :) x
