Once again, Mr Smith is in a cloud of gloom...
These items were originally released as three separate clips over the course of a month in 2013, but I've assembled them into one video just to make it easier to watch. There's an air of playful defiance throughout these collected interviews from GigWise, especially when tackling the thorny subject of the "tortured artiste". We get to hear about "The Chris Situation" just one more time and the process of getting TWOYL together, their take on whether or Glastonbury Festival has lost its edge (with Tom nonchalantly dropping some truth and Ed playing the diplomat). The latter segment is a short, brutally horrible tale from Mr Smith about his early foray in the fabulous and rewarding world of gainful employment. As he says, the fact that he was on work experience means that he didn't get paid for this either even if it was only for a single day. You think you have a bad job? Mr Smith is here to take you to school and show you that your life could be so much worse. There's also some delicious irony in there too, in that the record they were promoting at that time contained a song called Bird of Prey. Enjoy the chatter ;)
