This is a preview of a song called How Many Times, which will appear on Tom's debut album There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn’t There In The Light. Having heard three tracks from the record in this live format, there appears to be a theme throughout them that may or may not permeate the whole collection. I get the impression that for Tom, life in Editors has been the adventure and this solo long player is going to be a reflective summary of those 20+ years. A sort of "what I learned" statement.
After all, the lyric "We've all been changed from what we were" is actually much more relevant now than it was when Smokers was first released. Maybe There is Nothing in the Dark... will be a collection of letters sent home from the front lines of a very long campaign?
