Our people are everywhere. As recorded by the Archive's primary supplier of unconventional audio goodies, this is Editors' show at Irving Plaza in New York City on the 15th May 2018. Many thanks again to you, Gary for taking the time and sharing your work. It appreciated ;)
This is of course everything you'd expect from one of Gary's audio documents. If you want a clear representation of what the U.S. tour sounded like, this is most definitely it. As the man himself notes the only hiccup here is that Tom's guitar gets a bit sketchy during Blood, but other than that it's green lights all the way. Something that has surprised me about what I've heard from these American shows has been the response to the songs from album 4 and beyond. There's always cheers for the older stuff like An End Has a Start and Racing Rats, but the way that Sugar, Formaldehyde and the even later material is received is amazing. Especially when you consider that nothing beyond ITLAOTE has been heard in the flesh and in a live capacity there before. The fans know the songs well enough to go nuts even though they are in essence hearing them in person for the first time.
Nothing else to say but enjoy the music, and I know that you will ;)
