"People need potatoes" - Tom
This is an interview from 2010 with Tom and Russell for the now defunct Station website in Belgium. If you try to visit the site today you're redirected to FUZE Luxembourg, which specialises in supporting local music. Time changes everything eventually, I suppose. The topics include what it was like recording three albums in five years, memorable tour events, Mr Smith's more introspective lyrics on E2 and E3 and the majestic truth of wikipedia.
All of this takes place under the watchful eye of a photo of Mr Black Francis, and what I believe is a snap of Johnny Borrell of Razorlight. An eerie coincidence considering our place in the current festive season, because Razorlight's man with the sticks would join Tom for the Smith and Burrows christmas album extravaganza just one year after this interview.
