Filippiada camp tour for Oxfam 13th September 2016

This was 3 members of the band, Mr Smith, Mr Williams and Mr Lay touring a refugee camp in Greece during September 2016, to draw attention to the plight of displaced individuals. It's something they would do again in 2018 when they took a trip to Obrenovac Camp in Serbia. This post is so big because there were a lot of variations in the way that the information was passed out through different media sources, and as with most things I share here it's my intention to collect them all together to make them accessible from a single starting point.

This first video was live-streamed on the Oxfam Facebook profile as it happened and the others were shared later in an edited, shorter format. This one focuses primarily on the rections of the band to what they see and hear at the camp. You'll notice that the picture starts off vertical but stick with it, as it goes right-way-up around two and a half minutes in. The other two videos are variations of each other containing more footage from different parts of the camp, and there's an officially released trailer by Oxfam of the whole event. The bonus materials have some interviews with Tom and Elliott from various news outlets, as well as a short ident for the march in London that coincided with this campaign. Nothing else to add other than read on and watch the clips ;)

This is the first time we were able to hear about the impact of visiting the refugee camp in Fillipiada on Mr Smith, as well as the initial reservations he had about even going on the trip. It's 14 minutes of in depth chat on BBC Radio 5 and all credit for finding this goes to Hannah from the band's online forum. Thanks to you and also to Team Editors for the background assistance;)
