If you're attending the gig in Portugal tonight, you're in for a treat. The band are road testing a brand new song called The Pulse and it will be the first time it's been aired publicly. This is a song that I believed had been abandoned somewhere forever, especially now that the touring cycle for the In Dream album is possibly nearing its natural conclusion during the summer festivals. It's been talked about before, most notably in this post but we never had a clue as to whether or not it was still an actual fully formed composition. Now we do. There are still a few potentially lost tracks from the In Dream recording sessions, like The Wind on the Water and Dream Dark as Your Heaven. Maybe they exist as finished songs or perhaps they were just juvenile ideas that never quite made it into musical adulthood? I hope this trend of little surprises continues throughout the summer.
