There's a weird theme developing the further into Editors' musical odyssey that we get; a lot of the websites that I originally ripped stuff from back in the day are gone. This is another example of that, as we revisit the ShockHound session from February 2010. Shockhound was a site that was opened for business by Hot Topic in 2008, but was gone just 3 years later. To quote Mr Bryan Ferry
Nothing last forever, of that I'm sure.
Nothing last forever, of that I'm sure.
The band were Ed-less again, as Mr Smith, Mr Urbanowicz and King Leetch took to the stage to play 5 songs acoustically. This was part of the band's North American tour that year, which started in Seattle on the 5th (available to listen to here) and ended 16 days later in Washington. It's curious how a simple thing such as making the decision to stand or sit can change the complexion of a set, as I think is the case here. Tom seems to be able to throw a lot more into his singing and playing thanks to that little bit of extra freedom of movement. There have been times in the past, of course, where having his mobility restricted really seemed to bring something almost otherworldly out of him (see this post as proof). Enjoy the music ;)
