How many Fabergé designed drumsticks do you require, Mr Lay?
The past 30 days were extremely eventful. At the beginning of November Justin stepped off the merry-go-round of In Dream promotion to take care of some family business, and so we welcomed the return of the man with skinniest legs in Editors, Mr Nic Willes. Ocean of Night finally made it into the world for public consumption, and proved that Rahi Rezvani really gets Editors. He did another masterful job of distilling all the moods and textures of their sound into something visual, and I hope they move forward as collaborators for a lot longer. There was also the announcement of some American dates next year.
As with months gone by, the majority of the materials have come from sources outside of Editors' official Instagram page. Ed, for example, has been documenting the various venues and sights he's seen over the past 4 weeks, all of which are included here. There is, however, a photo missing from the beginning of the collection (between Europe #1Paris and Europe#3 Brussels) but I think that's possibly just a labeling issue at Mr Lay's end because I have all the snaps he's posted.
November was also month where the most hellish, despicable aspects of human nature were put on display for all the world to see and this caused the cancellation of a show in Lyon on the 15th.You all know what I'm talking about and so I'm not going to go into any details here. Because that's the idea, isn't it? To get us all into a state of permanent fear, panic and endlessly talking about the impending threats.

Finally, Elliott made his way to the front of the live stage in some style with an over the shoulder portable synth during Marching Orders. It had fairly lights on it, and it looked like the kind of thing Jan Hammer would have gotten for Christmas if he'd been extremely good that year (he may look like someone's dad doing a number at a wedding reception, and throwing some questionable shapes in the process, but Crockett's Theme is still bad-ass!).
