Here's three Editors talking a walk through Papillon acoustically, as part of the band's appearance on De Laatste Show back in November 2009. Mr Smith and Mr Urbanowicz provide the guitars while Russell plays the keys. It's all extremely delicate and soft, in comparison to the thumping show-stealer it becomes when the full band perform it now.
King Leetch, who plays piano here is much more than just Editors' bass player, and we've even seen him playing guitar onstage recently. This idea of changing things around is, of course, nothing new and has continued during the touring of In Dream, with drummer Ed appearing on keys during No Harm right at the top of the live set. Variety. It's the spice of life and it certainly keeps things interesting, offering musical options that may have not been available from a group of mono-instrumentalists.
