Please note before you get all annoyed and tense, this doesn't really qualify as an interview. Longer than a soundbite, but not much. Editors once again find themselves in the orbit of George Lamb, but not under normal circumstances. Whereas in the past they've met under the exclusive banner of musical subject matter, this time it's all about the football. It's another instance where, as somebody who's not a great fan of football, I scratch head and mouth the word "who?" a fair bit. But that's OK. There are areas of pop culture that just slip by me quietly, only to make it onto my radar when Editors are involved. If there was a show about cats bungee jumping competitively to win some tasty treats, I'd probably overlook it (well, maybe.....). However, if you told me that Ed would be stopping by to chat with the presenters and deliver some catnip to the winners.....you better know I'd be there. Which brings us back to this very short item.
Full disclosure: there's no video, unfortunately. That may change, but in the name of speed and getting this out to you all, right now it's a full blown aural affair on a smokey Friday evening in the UK. You get a chance to hear Mr Williams and King Leetch talking to George Lamb and, mercifully, the chat was recorded prior to the live studio broadcast. It means it's easier to hear without the background noise of an audience. This covers the fellas' favourite ever game, so if you know football the content will probably mean something to you. It's mostly King Leetch, which is no bad thing, but it's over painfully quickly I'm afraid. Still, if you absolutely must know what was said, you can find out here.
