"Oooooo, Mr Lay. How about a shot of you in the bath?". If Editors took part in the seedy art of mobile phone sexting, this is probably what it would look like.
This month was overshadowed by Mr Smith being extremely unwell. The band were supposed to appear on QMusic on the first of the month but that fell through. Tom and Russell made it to the Dermot O' Leary Saturday Session, but when a visit with the Italian radio station RAI was cancelled it became obvious that things were not well with Mr Smith. He'd been advised to undertake some serious bedrest for a minimum of a week due to a viral infection. Thankfully, he's managed to rally round and the band were able to make a guest slot showing on the Circus HalliGalli show in Germany towards the end of the month.
The photos were mainly bonus materials this month, meaning the bulk of them came from sources outside of Editors' official instagram account. In among the various pics and videos of this collection is an outside shot of the studio in Crear that the band used to record In Dream, which I hadn't seen before. There's also a very short video of Tom underwater, which was an outtake from the promo video Rahi Rezvani shot for the release of In Dream (the one that had the excerpt of Salvation playing in it). Speaking of E5, within 24 hours of you reading this post the new album will have officially arrived.
