Up next is a radio broadcast from Editors' appearance at the Caribana Festival in Switzerland, June 11th 2009. Unfortunately, the show didn't cover the gig in full which means we only really get 9 tracks from the 15 song set. Also, the radio station dropped a couple of idents into the broadcast which were tricky to remove because they actually run over the music. The price we pay for obtaining a free recording, I guess.
This gig saw the band playing 4 songs from ITLAOTE which wasn't released until a full 4 months afterwards. Bricks and Mortar, The Big Exit, Papillon and Eat Raw Meat (included here) are all very representative of the sound of In This Light..., and gave the audience a clear indication of the impending new album.
There's a little bit of Editors trivia here in that this show saw Tom do some very minor tweaking of the lyrics to An End Has A Start, singing "With hope in your heart" as opposed to "With hope in your hands" a couple of times.
