The setlist here is a smooth concoction of old and new, although Sugar had yet to settle into its rightful place at the beginning of the show. It's also a little unusual hearing Nothing so early, given that it's more often the rallying call for the latter part of the proceedings during concerts at that time. I checked some other setlists from that year and this was something of an anomaly, because in the dates they played prior to June 2014 Sugar was usually the first number and Nothing was way down near to the finale. For whatever reason, they mixed everything up for the 5 concerts in June and then the natural order was restored from July onwards. Variety; it's the spice of life.
Look out for the ever stylish and talented Nic Willes on the keys and guitar who joined the band to cover Elliott's absence. The reason floated at the time was that Mr Williams was pursuing his own musical interests as a solo artiste with Y.O.U. (Your Own Universe), but according to my (totally fictional) sources within Editors' inner circle the truth of the matter is he was sitting his G.C.S.E. exams. You always get the real stories when you visit the Archive. Probably.
Enjoy the music ;)
