Heineken Open'er Festival 4th July 2008 (FLAC Audio)

This show is an audience recording  from 2008, with Editors playing Open'er in Poland on the 4th of July.  It was authored and shared by SNSik (thanks very much to your work), and is an important piece of the Editors puzzle because of track number 6. This is an early full-band version of No Sound But The Wind. This track has since gone on to become hotly debated among fans, with some preferring the more sedate, solo rendition by Tom, while others needing that increased volume and pace that the  full band version provides. In my opinion the song occupies a place where it manages to traverse both sides of the fence, in that it works perfectly under both circumstances. In live shows the solo rendition is a nice break that allows the audience to catch their collective breath, and as a recording with everyone in the band playing it's an absolute killer.  Listening to the song here, and then comparing later performances, you can spot the changes, which is great if you're interested in how these things develop.

And if you want a real Editors rarity, then check out the end of Fingers in the Factories which contains Chris making small-talk with the crowd in Polish. How often does that happen? Not very.

But enough of the chat. Files are available in their original FLAC format, in accordance with the taper's wishes, and you can download the whole show here:-
