Oddity #10 - Japanese Introductions

A moment of wonderful comic genius from the early years of Editors' musical journey for you now, with the band making an appearance on Japanese TV that I have no exact dates or details for. The live footage shown in the clip is from 2006 so I can only guess that this took place around the same time. I can also offer no explanation as to why the set has such a heavy maritime theme going on. I don't know if that was a regular thing on the show, but blimey it's odd.

The first task given to the guests was very simple; introduce the band member next to you to the world and give a little bit of personal information about them. In the hands of any other group this might have been a simple and straightforward task, but with Editors in an obviously playful mood...it's just excellent. You also get some live footage from a Japanese club show, a little bit more of an interview and an acoustic run through of Bullets with Chris and Tom as part of the video. The quality on this clip isn't spectacular, so apologies for that straight away. If you can get past it then you too can enjoy the rare silliness of Japanese Introductions, Editors style. ;)
