The assignment here was a simple one; to pick a couple of songs as additions to a mixtape of classic 90's alternative songs. No surprises here for the already-initiated into Editors fandom, as Tom chose R.E.M. as his two contributions. The tracks he chose were Electrolite and Be Mine, both from the album "New Adventures in Hi-Fi". If I'm remembering correctly, that record was put together on the road during soundchecks while they toured Monster..coincidentally the very tour that Tom references his attendance at during this podcast. Trivia for y'all, I got it.
Although they weren't chosen, both Undertow and How the West Was Won and Where it Got Us are also really good. And in what universe do we not acknowledge the utter brilliance of E-bow the letter? Sacrilege I tells ya.
