How would you like a totally consequence free feel-good moment? Let's face it, you're an Editors fan so you need all the positive energy you can harvest to counterbalance all the bleakness in your life. Well, I've something perfect for you.
In 2019, Tom and Justin were guests on Nihal Arthanayake's Radio 5 Live show, and they were fulfilling their promotional duties in the usual way until they were hit with the unexpected. Earlier that day, Nihal had spoken to members of R.E.M. about the reissue of their Monster album. As part of that conversation, a certain singer's name came up.
To give you some context as to why this clip is able so deftly to place butterflies in your heart space, we've learned through the years that R.E.M. were always Tom's favourite band. You would imagine that getting the opportunity to tour with them in 2008 would be the absolute achievement of a dream you may not have even considered. Something that may have once seemed utterly impossible as you're sleeping on your manager's floor, working day jobs and spending your nights in mouldy rehearsal spaces trying to make it happen for your own group years before.
I would suggest, that this single event on 2019 is even better than that. Enjoy ;)
