Editors' reach is broad and curious at times. Where better to promote their latest album than as guests on the football themed Hawksbee and Jacobs show on TalkSport here in the UK? They've been frequenting programmes like this since their earliest days as a band so this isn't a new thing, and if you're not a huge football fan (smiles and waves uncomfortably), this is still worth a listen. It's Russell and Ed. Enough said.
There's the usual campaign questions, things like "Why did you call the album Black Gold", but along the way there is some interesting chat relating to their early years. In particular the pressure that is felt by young bands in their formative stage. Given the platform they're appearing on, the talk about football is actually at a surprisingly minimal level, which is cool with me. Enjoy the jaw movements ;)
