This is a video collection of footage from Editors' T in the Park gig, July 2010. As well as things to watch, we have things to listen to in the form of a full audience recording courtesy of the Archive's maestro with the mic, GaryUK. Thank you very, very much for this Gary. It's appreciated ;)
Before we go on, there's a few of items of housekeeping. There are a couple of very minor glitches in the video along the way but they were present in the source material, I'm afraid, so apologies for that. Plus, this collection doesn't include ERM=BD which didn't make the broadcast. However, that song is included in the recording provided by Gary.
There's nothing quite like seeing Editors being forced to perform in glorious sunshine, squinting at the crowd, as opposed to the indoor confines of a stage in some cool, dark venue somewhere. Notice how Tom's black jacket remains firmly in place throughout the entire set. They are a terribly gloomy band, after all. The light! The dreaded, dreaded sunlight!
This is a festival setlist, which means it's all about the more punchy tracks in Editors' back catalogue. In This Light and on This Evening gets a little tweak to "Scotland's become the most beautiful thing I've seen", and Bones is played in its original pre-AEHAS style with those additional "Retreats" added back in. One thing I noticed here is that you can really hear Mr Smith's guitar during the end portion of ITLAOTE, much more so than in other shows or on the recorded version of that track.

There's some bonus interview material as Mr Urbanowicz and Mr Lay get grilled by Reggie Yates and Edith Bowman. We learn that Chris has played Munich on the game Guitar Hero, and on the "expert" setting. How did he do? Watch and find out. Enjoy the music ;)
