Tower Records Shibuya Japan Friday 7th June 2013 (audio/video)

A post that contains two of my favourite things; Editors and Japan. Here's some wonderful footage by Sleepers Film covering some of the set that the band payed at Tower Records, Shibuya Japan in early June of 2013. Of the 5 tracks that were performed only Smokers, Ton of Love and Honesty were pro-shot and selected for release. Originally, they appeared separately as 3 individual films but I've reconnected them here for a more easy viewing experience. It's actually very strange how little fan-footage emerged from these shows, but at least we have what we have and in such great quality.

As a bonus, there's some MP3s and also a short ident that the band did for their appearance at the Hostess Club Weekender festival whilst in the country. Enjoy the music ;)

Bonus Material - Festival Ident

There's an atmosphere of quiet discomfort over the whole 15 seconds of this clip, almost as though they feel like running but their feet have been nailed to the floor. Russell smiles politely and Ed, as with previous ident videos the band have done, is the most talkative and seems to be the most at ease. Mr Smith definitely does not.
