Passed my way by Hannah (thanks H!), this is Editors were taking over the playlist for Sebastiaan Ockhuysen's show on 3FM, 1st November 2026. This meant selecting some songs and giving their reasons for the picks, and among the more obvious selections like Bruce Springsteen and R.E.M. there's some unexpected gems. If you've never heard anything by The Beat (or The English Beat if you live in the States), for example, then you should go and check out their singles. Save it for Later is the track chosen here but Mirror in the Bathroom or Too Nice to Talk To are equally as good.
Obviously in the interest of not ripping off the artists I've faded out the songs, leaving only the dialogue with the band. Right at the very end of the session you get a solo run-through of Smokers featuring Tom on the acoustic guitar.
Enjoy the music ;)
brought to you with lots and lots of lemming-love ;) x
