Tom loaned his services to the World Wildlife Fund by contributing to their "No Music on a Dead Planet" campaign during April. This explanation of what that entails is taken from their website:-
"WWF and Music Declares Emergency have joined forces for Earth Day 2025 to launch the Music Nature Map — a celebration of the wild places that inspire artists across the UK and Ireland. From iconic landscapes to hidden urban oases, the map highlights how nature fuels creativity, supports wellbeing, and drives climate action.Explore the stories behind these special places and discover why protecting nature has never been more urgent — for the planet, for people, and for the music it inspires.Because when we restore nature, nature restores us."
You can check out which destination he chose and what he wrote about it by going here and following the instructions on the map further down the page.
Other than that, certainly regarding each individual Editor and their activities it was the calm, quiet consistency of previous months. Justin posted a lot of photographs and Elliott shared details of a studio he's possibly using to do some recording of his own.
Having just joined Bluesky in an effort to distance myself from Elon Musk's Twitter/X, I found that my account has been tagged as a "spam profile". I would imagine that this will severely limit its reach. The account doesn't fall into any of the proposed infringement categories they provided as a possible reason, so I contacted them to appeal (at their invitation) and clarify that I am neither a bot nor a spammer. They haven't replied and it's been about a month, but the original notice I got suggests sharing with them my ID in the form of either my driving license or my passport. Just so they can be sure I'm me.
Nope.
If the cost of using their platform means that I have to upload my most personal of details, then I don't think we're going to be a good fit. A real shame, because I had such high hopes that this would be a better experience than Twitter/X. A place, incidentally, that I will never return to. Unless Bluesky miraculously do what they said they would and actually look at my appeal, I don't see a future here. However, the blog and the youtube profile will remain. Like the man said:-
We'll see how this goes, we'll pull love from all lows...
