Les Docks Lausanne 24th April 2018 (Full Show)

There's nothing quite like a show that you knew was taped, but that stays buried on a hard drive in some radio station to drive you a little loopy. We knew that Editors at Lausanne 24th April 2018 had been professionally recorded, because two tracks were made available on Irish radio in June of that year. However, given the length of time between then and March 2019 and with no word of more songs coming out on RTE, I figured we'd heard everything there was to hear. Not so, as proven by andy988 who's re-circulation of Hugin33's recording I'm sharing here. It's a highlights program and so you only actually get about half of what the audience in attendance got that night, but it's FM quality from German radio station N-Joy Radio and Hugin33 has done a wonderful job capturing it. Many thanks to Andy and Hugin for the green light to share it here, files are being posted in their original FLAC format in accordance with the taper's wishes.

The tracks that are included in the broadcast setlist are some of the newer ones from the VI OLENCE campaign that really require great sound in order to be fully appreciated. The live takes here of Violence/No Harm, Nothingness and Belong are all shown in their best possible form. You can hear everything that's going on and it allows the listener to get close enough to be able to count the freckles, sort of speak.

This being from a commercial radio station means that you'll get to hear some anti-bootlegging idents dropped in here and there, but they are actually remarkably respectful in their placement around the music rather than all over it. Kudos to you, N-Joy. They get it.

To make things even better, Hannah found the full show on the day I updated this post courtesy of a Hungarian radio station, and now that's available here too. That makes three separate tapings, from three different countries of origin, all here in one place for the fans. The internet can be a wonderfully co-operative and inclusive place sometimes.
