Gasometer Vienna 29th November 2015 (FLAC Audio)

For all you fans in attendance at the Vienna show last week, here's a little memento of the evening to take away and enjoy. This is an audience recording of the show made by Tinder, huge thanks to you for sharing your work. Files are being shared in their original FLAC format in accordance with the taper's wishes.

The decision to begin each concert with No Harm is quite an interesting one, in my opinion. It reminds me of Suede when they used to open their early gigs with The Next Life, which was just Brett on vocals and Bernard on piano. Conventional gig wisdom dictates, that the support acts amp up the audience to the point where the headliners come bouncing on stage and knock everyone sideways with a big opening number. Editors used to do this with Someone Says, Lights, Bones, In This Light and on This Evening or Sugar (depending upon which era of the band we're talking about).  On the In Dream campaign, however, they've taken a less bombastic approach and used the opening tune to set a mood, which is precisely what No Harm does. Also, similar to The Next Life by Suede, there's falsetto moments which could quite easily see the singer falling flat if the voice isn't warmed up properly. In front of such large crowds, that's a brave move.

But enough of this chatter, there's music to download! Enjoy ;)
