I'm not sure if this was the intent, but the promotional work behind In Dream seems to have been extremely Eurocentric. There appears to have been a real concerted effort to spend equal, if not more time traveling to the Mainland as opposed to remaining purely in the UK (and to be honest, given the opportunity to travel and see all these great places why wouldn't you?). There's been lots of acoustic sessions and interviews in places like Belgium and France, and judging by the size of the venues and crowds they're attracting, the courtship is paying off. Jimi Hendrix got really popular over here whilst still being virtually unknown in the States, comedian Bill Hicks could sell out the London Palladium but was still playing tiny venues back home. The sensational movie Evil Dead (the original, not the remake) got all of it's American attention after the rave reviews it picked up here! The point I'm gradually drifting away from making is that there are occasions where certain performers are better appreciated, for whatever reason, in areas of the world other than their native countries. With that in mind, I could probably state without contradiction that Belgium loves Editors. The audiences there really seem to get them, and this is a recording which proves the theory. Enjoy the music ;)
