Amsterdam Melkweg 8th November 2009 (audio)

A great show that has some rough edges thanks to a couple of minor technical hitches.  During Lights, for example, Russell's bass craps out completely and we almost lose Tom's guitar.  This results in a very weird scenario whereby Tom ends up finishing the song himself just after the short musical break.  In the middle of the equipment failures, and whilst actually playing the song, he somehow managed to communicate with both Ed and Chris to drop back and let him take the song out. Something which is not immediately obvious unless you look very closely for it. Smoothly done, sir.

Of all the songs you need to hear from this show, The Boxer is just amazing. It may be one of the finest deliveries of the track from the entire ITLAOTE campaign, and I absolutely adore it.  You also get Walk the Fleet Road, You Don't Know Love and The Big Exit so the 3rd album is very well represented here.

The gig was recorded and made available way back when by synthfrog (thank you very much for this), and the files here are being shared in their original FLAC format in accordance with the taper's wishes. Enjoy the music ;)

Bonus Materials - Fan Footage
These three tracks were filmed by long time Editors fan and friend to the Archive, Jeen Nauta. Of all the fan footage currently available out there I picked these to share because they are by far the best stuff we have. Plus, you get to actually watch the performance of The Boxer which is a wonderful little companion to the audio. Check them out, and thanks to you Jeen for sharing them.
