*Thanks to you, Sian for pointing me in the direction of these clips.*
Ahhhhh, Face Culture interviews. In the past they have proven to be a certainty for moments where you just want to cringe, usually because of the questions that are asked. On this occasion, it's no exception. The Chris Question is dissected to the absolute point of awkwardness. "How did you tell Chris to leave?", "What did he say?", "Did he see it coming..." etc etc. The only thing the interviewer doesn't ask is what colour undies they were all wearing at the time (if indeed they were wearing undies, they may actually enjoy the free and easy feeling of "going commando"). Because if we're being honest, we all want to know that kind of trivia because it makes the story so much more juicy. Don't we?
Or maybe we don't.
I know that I'm carrying an obvious prejudice into all of this because of my own feelings about watching them be repeatedly tortured on this topic. I'm of the opinion that sometimes what we want to know isn't necessarily what we need to know, if we're considering the other people involved. So I'll just leave it at that. There are actually some very interesting other things that come up. As a for instance, we learn exactly how Justin and Elliott came to be in the band and also about the writing process for TWOYL.
