A bona fide lost classic from 2007 up now, as we find Russell, Tom and Chris performing 4 songs for a private radio session in Sacramento USA. It's an acoustic/electric affair and sees Russell taking to the trusty piano again. This gig was almost consigned to history forever, because the station that it was recorded for technically no longer exists. "106.5 KWOD" ceased to be in 2009, and is now known by the title "106.5The Buzz".
The session is essentially a handful of people sitting on the floor up close and personal in a recording studio, (that looked a little like a high class opium den) getting to hear Editors do their thing. It's almost the kind of intimacy level you would get if you saw them playing in your living room. I know this will make me sound like an old nostalgia freak but I can't imagine anything better, especially considering the size of venues they can comfortably fill these days.

I have a confession. There is a video of the session (see screenshots above) but the stream quality at the time was absolutely abysmal. Pixelated to hell and audio out of sync. I'm good, but given the multitude of failings it possesses there's no way I can fix it. As such, and as much as it goes against every fanboy instinct in my brain, there's no point in sharing it here. That being said, the audio quality is superb and so the music I was able to extract is very much worth your time. Do I need to tell you that Bones sounds epic? That An End Has A Start shimmers? I suspect not. Enjoy the music ;)
