Courtesy of Kerlijne Everaet, Wout Van Springel and the folks at VRT and RTV News respectively, these are two short features on a very special gig that became two very special gigs on the same day.
Initially, this was a PIAS showcase that was to take place at the Hnita Jazz Club in Belgium, on the evening of the 7th December 2025. The show was announced, and the tickets went on sale. Unfortunately for potential audience members the tickets sold out in a minute. To quell the obvious demand, another set was added on the same day but mid-afternoon. Tickets were made available and, once again, they sold out in a minute. The conclusion to be drawn from all of this is that if you're planning on going to see Mr Smith play live next year, you should probably grab those tickets sooner rather than later. These small intimate shows are proving to be very popular indeed.
If you ever wondered how Tom copes with audience members telling him they love him mid-show, this film provides the answer and it's just as charmingly awkward as you would expect. Enjoy the film ;)
